Cosmetic* consultations are complimentary. *Cosmetic is defined as a procedure that is paid for out-of-pocket and is not billed through insurance.

What should be expected during a consultation?

During a consultation, the patient will begin by explaining their goals and expectations to Dr. Kayan. From there, Dr. Kayan will explore the best course of action to meet those goals. At the end of each consultation, the patient will receive a complete cosmetic quote for the discussed procedure(s). Patients scheduled for a breast augmentation consultation may also have an implant fitting with Dr. Kayan's surgical assistant at the end of the consultation if time permits. Pre-Procedural Covid Test

North Memorial Hospital (Robbinsdale) Surgical Patients: COVID Testing Requirements

Unvaccinated patients having surgery at North Memorial Hospital (Robbinsdale) are required to take a COVID-19 test within 5 days of their surgery (i.e., Monday surgeries require a test the previous Wednesday). Acceptable COVID test options are listed below. Deviation from these options will result in surgery being cancelled. If results are positive or not received the day prior to surgery, the patient's surgery will be rescheduled or cancelled. Fully vaccinated patients are not required to take a pre-procedural COVID test. A patient is considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after the last dose is administered; at this time a booster is not required. All COVID-19 policies and procedures are subject to change, without notice. It is the responsibility of the patient to schedule testing appointments, verify locations and testing methods are up to date, verify current result wait times, and ensure the correct test is administered. Nasopharyngeal PCR Test: This is the required test necessary for surgery by unvaccinated patients (unless taken at a Vault Health facility). These terms refer to the methods in which the sample is retrieved and resulted. Nasopharyngeal swab is the method of collecting a test sample from the very back of the nasal passage. A PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test detects the genetic material of the virus and is the most accurate method of testing for COVID-19. North Memorial Facility North Memorial locations are not currently an option for pre-procedural COVID tests as the current wait time is not guaranteed within 5 days. Vault Health In-Person Locations Saliva tests will ONLY be accepted if done at an in-person Vault Health location in Minnesota. Test locations and times are released 1 week in advance and are subject to change. Cost: The patient will need to verify costs with the facility administering the test. Instruction: Nasopharyngeal PCR tests can be ordered by the patient's primary care physician. Dr. Kayan cannot order tests at facilities outside of the North Memorial system. The test must be a PCR test; an antigen test will NOT be accepted. If the test is positive, please contact our office right away to discuss current guidelines for positive tests. If a test is not received the day prior to surgery, the surgery will be rescheduled. Deviation from these requirements will result in surgery being cancelled. All COVID-19 policies and procedures are subject to change, without notice. Scheduling a PCR Test: The COVID test can be taken at any location (including CVS and Walgreens) as long as it is a PCR test (nasal, oral, and saliva tests accepted). It is the responsibility of the patient to schedule testing appointments, verify locations and testing methods are up to date, verify current result wait times, and ensure the correct test is administered. Please schedule testing in advance as slots can fill up 1 to 2 weeks out. Listed below are some local PCR COVID testing sites. Please note, this is not a definitive list and the patient may go anywhere a PCR test is offered. Pharmacy (i.e. CVS or Walgreens) Ensure the test is scheduled as a PCR test.
